Die Cutting of an Electrical Insulator for the Aerospace/Electronics Industry

When a client in the aerospace industry needed an electrical insulator fabricated, they knew that turning to Cupps would lead to a professional, precise, and hassle free project. To fabricate the electrical insulators shown here required the use of our advanced die cutting capabilities. We used our press and die equipment to die cut thermally conductive polyamide reinforced elastomer material to the specification supplied by the customer. The polyamide elastomer material used in this project had a thickness of 0.005" - 0.006" and would withstand temperatures of -50°C to +150°C. The material finish varies with material style. Working to tightest tolerances of ± 0.005", we made over 50,000 electrical insulators per year and met MIL-STD-129 and MIL-C-5541 standards.
