Die Cutting of a CPU Insulator for the Aerospace/Electronics Industry

This precision die cutting fabrication project was unique and highlights the versatility of our die cutting capabilities. Used on commercial aircraft, this frozen adhesive insulator was die-cut from 0.005" thick frozen adhesive film that is used for bonding a heatsink to a circuit board. Because the insulator required special handling due to its frozen nature, we stored the material at 0°F and shipped in containerized dry ice. For this project we met all required standards such as ISO9001, AS9100, MIL-STD-129, and MIL-STD-810 while working to tightest tolerances of ± 0.004".
